Baghdad, Iraq - Contingent will be so reduced from present 2900 persons down to 2600
Italian Defence Minister Antonio Martino unveiled that Italian contingent in Iraq will be lowered for 300 units from the current 2900 soldiers down to 2600. This decision is part of the strategy for the progressive troops withdrawal from Iraqi territory as ther country becomes able to manage its own security more autonomously.
