Buenos Aires, Argentina - Thomas Gostner flew over the Andes by his Nimbus 4 for 2130 km

Italy achieved the world flight distance record by glider. Thomas Gostner, belonging to group of sport flight protagonists of Bolzano Aeroclub (which also includes Stefano Ghiorzo and Giorgio Galetto, former world champion), succeeded in flying for some 2130 km over in Argentina, exploiting winds in the Andes’ region.
