LIGHT PLANE CRASHES ON TAKEOFF IN AUSTRALIA
BRISBANE, A light plane crashed nose-first at Archerfield airport of Brisbane. The two people aboard, a man and a woman, were killed. The plane reached a height of about 70m and banked to the left and nosedived into a field less than 200 m from the runway. The accident was due to an engine failure. Rescue teams were not able to identify the two occupants.
