Northwest Airlines: pilots accepted pay cut
New York, USA - Negotiations continue to make cut effective
Northwest Airlines pilots referendum called by unions, established to accept temporary pilots pay cut. The percentage of pilots in favor of it has been 63.6% and negotiation is continuing to make labor cost cut permanent for the US fourth airline. It will save around USD 215m per year as the agreement provided a hourly pay rates by 23.9%.
