A-380: third prototype flew
Toulouse, France - Test Flight successfully ended on last November 3 while Rolls Royce is analysing the reasons for overheating for a Trent 900 engine on another aircraft
Test flight for the third Airbus A-380 was successfully accomplished on last November 3. The huge airliner flew for three hours over Southern France. The previous flight performed by another aircraft would have instead shown some overheating problem for one of the Rolls Royce Trent 900 turbofans, and the powerplant maker would have asked Airbus consortium for postponing travel towards some Asian destinations...
