United Airlines would have intention to recall about 300 pilots in 2006, seeing the growth in demand expected on the next year. The first group of 20 units is scheduled to return to work on January 9. 300 pilots represents a sixth of those remaining still on furlough, but the Air Line Pilots Association said it was pleased with the announcement.
