QANTAS RECEIVES THE GO-AHEAD FOR TAKING OVER IMPULSE
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, Australia's anti-monopoly watchdog has given Qantas Airways the go-ahead for its takeover of its rival Impulse. The watchdog declared that blocking the takeover would result in Impulse going bankrupted, and this would have meant even less competition. Qantas, in order to obtain the approval, has had to promise to keep prices low and to offer flight slots at airports to competitors....
