POLAR AIR TO LAY OFF STAFF

LONG BEACH, Polar Air Cargo will lay off 50-60 staff members, including 24 pilots, as part of cost reduction measures, like it was announced yesterday. The personnel reductions represent a 10 percent reduction in staff. The carrier has a fleet of 17 Boeing 747 freighters.
