"Aero 2025": the aviation show returns to Friedrichshafen
756 exhibiting companies from 38 countries are present

"Aero Friedrichshafen" is back in 2025. From 9 to 12 April, the Friedrichshafen exhibition centre in Germany hosts the new edition of one of the main international trade fairs dedicated to general aviation, business aviation and sports aviation. Over the 4 days, there are various conferences and workshops in which high-level speakers will present the latest developments in the sector, discuss current topics and answer the main questions of the aviation community. The fair is an important opportunity for discussion and training and hosts various types of aircraft: civilian drones, gliders, ultralights and gyrocopters, helicopters, business and training aircraft, business jets. The key themes, central to the conferences that will be held during the 4 days, focus on new propulsion systems, electric flight, state-of-the-art avionics, services and supplies for pilots.
This year there is a very high number of exhibiting companies, 756, coming from 38 countries. Success is therefore expected for 2025 too, after the last edition exceeded expectations with 31,500 visitors from 81 countries around the world, and with 680 exhibitors including 35 Italians, from 38 countries, attracted by the novelties that can be discovered at Aero.
For the business sector, a space of 2000 square meters is available dedicated to the new Business Aviation Dome, in addition to an exhibition area with an innovative concept and pavilions A2 and A3. The place is also equipped with VIP lounges for networking activities and a hospitality area for business meetings and private gatherings. In the Business Aviation Dome there is a stage for speakers with a 40 square meter Led wall to host various interventions by experts on topics such as sustainability, innovation and the lack of qualified personnel. The space has also been designed to make the experience at the exhibition excellent.
Tomorrow, on Thursday, April 10, an e-Flight Airshow will be held for the second year, showcasing current electric-powered aircraft in a “silent” display. It is also the first time that a certified Chinese-made electric aircraft, the RX-4E, has been shown outside of China. The traditional airshow featuring aerobatics and glider displays is scheduled for Saturday, April 12.
During the days, several world, European and German, premieres will be shown, especially regarding sustainable aviation. In fact, on April 8 and 9, in Friedrichshafen the third Summit on Hydrogen and Batteries was held, which saw the presentation of projects aimed at achieving climate-neutral flight.
