ITA Airways and LOT Polish Airlines announce code-share agreement

Starting from tomorrow

ITA Airways, Italy’s reference carrier, and LOT Polish Airlines, the national flag carrier of Poland, announce the launch of their code-share agreement.

Starting April 10, 2025, LOT’s “LO” flight code will be added to ITA Airways' domestic services connecting Rome with 10 Italian cities including Bologna, Bari, Brindisi, Catania, Genoa, Florence, Naples, Palermo, Lamezia Terme, and Turin.

Under the agreement, ITA Airways will add its “AZ” flight code on LOT-operated flights from Warsaw to Rome, offering new travel opportunities for customers travelling between Italy and Poland.

Joerg Eberhart, CEO and General Manager of ITA Airways, said: “We are pleased to sign this codeshare agreement with LOT Polish Airlines. This partnership is an additional significant step in ITA Airways' growth strategy, enhancing connectivity for our passengers. It creates a privileged and convenient travel route between Italy and Poland, further strengthening the economic and commercial ties between our two countries. Additionally, it enhances LOT passengers' travel experience, offering them the opportunity to enjoy the excellence of Made in Italy, which ITA Airways proudly represents as an ambassador worldwide".

Robert Ludera, LOT’s Registered Representative, Director of the LOT Polish Airlines Network Bureau, said: “Reaching a codeshare agreement with ITA Airways is part of the implementation of our strategy, which includes expanding our offer and improving the quality of our services. Through this cooperation, LOT's passengers gain access to a wide network of domestic connections in Italy, which will significantly facilitate travel in this beautiful country. We encourage you to discover Italy, now more accessible to travelers from Poland than ever before. We will also be pleased to welcome our partner's travellers on board LOT, providing them with a convenient transfer offer to a wide range of destinations in our route network".

This code-share partnership strengthens the links between Italy and Poland, providing customers of both carriers with seamless connections between Rome and Warsaw. Business and leisure travellers will now have greater choice and flexibility when flying across the networks of both airlines.

The new code-share flights are available for booking via their websites, their reservation systems, and through travel agencies.
