Italian Enav global expansion: new opportunities in foreign markets
Growth strategies and developments in international markets for air traffic control

During the Enav (Italian Flight Assistance Company) roadshow held in London, Pasqualino Monti, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), outlined an international expansion strategy that seems closely linked to diplomatic efforts and the stability of the Italian Government. In an interview with "SkyTg24", the CEO highlighted how the presence of the Prime Minister on foreign markets and the credibility of a stable Government have facilitated Enav's entry into new markets that were previously inaccessible. Monti announced the imminent opening of three new offices; the first planned in India within the first half of the year, followed by initiatives in Saudi Arabia and Brazil. Decisions that represent a crucial part of the industrial plan projected up to 2029 and aim to strengthen the company's global presence.
Speaking about the future of air traffic in Italy, the CEO said he was optimistic for both the passenger and cargo segments. In particular, he highlighted the significant growth in cargo traffic, a sector in which some airports in northern Italy are recording significant increases. The 2024 financial data were a fulcrum of the presentation: Monti celebrated the record results obtained in terms of operating margin, net profit, turnover and dividends, underlining how these successes derive largely from the strong push towards the unregulated market and international expansions.
In summary, Enav's strategy not only demonstrates the importance of a favorable political context, but also highlights a complex plan for globalization and innovation in air traffic control services, aiming to capitalize on the opportunities offered by non-traditional markets.
