Jal Group: results for the 3Q of FY ending March 2025

It announced changes to the BoD and executive officers

The JAL Group announced yesterday the consolidated financial results for the third quarter of the fiscal year ending March 2025 (April 1, 2024 - December 31, 2024).

Summary: 

- Revenues and profits increased year-on-year. Revenues of both aviation and non-aviation businesses exceeded the previous year, with total revenue reaching JPY 1,385.9 billion (increase of 11% year-on-year), and EBIT was JPY 144.2 billion (increase of 12% year-on-year).

- For the third quarter alone, EBIT reached JPY 58.5 billion (increase of 55% year-on-year), marking the highest profit since re-listing.

- Business model reforms are progressing steadily and the achievement of the full-year performance forecast is on track.

Japan Airlines (JAL) announced yesterday changes to the Board of Directors and Executive Officers, effective February 5, 2025.

 The JAL Group announced the changes to the Board of Directors and Executive Officers, as decided at the board of directors meeting held earlier yesterday. The announcement for changes to the Board of Directors and Executive Officers, effective April 1, will be made at a later date.

The JAL Group will strive in unity towards ensuring the highest level of safety in all flight operations, continue to improve the quality of the products and services to our valued customers, and raise its corporate value and contribute to the growth and development of society. 

As of yesterday, Minami Masaki will retire from the position as Executive Officer, but will remain as Senior VP – Flight Operations.
