A Boeing 737-200 belonging to local low-cost Mandala Airlines bound for Jakarta, shortly after take-off from "Polonia" Airport went down in a residential area 500 metres past the runway at Medan (Indonesia) around 9:40 local time: the airplane that caught fire after crashing, was carrying 117 people including 5 crew members all emerged killed in the disaster.
