Stockholm-Arlanda and Ronneby airports achieve net zero carbon balance for emissions under their control
Two more airports operated by Swedavia have just achieved Level 5 of Airport Carbon Accreditation (ACA), confirming Swedavia’s position as one of the global leaders in carbon management. This achievement brings the total number of Level 5 accredited airports worldwide to 18 (Amsterdam Schiphol, Beja, Christchurch, Delhi, Eindhoven, Göteborg Landvetter, Ivalo, Kempegowda, Kittilä, Kuusamo, Madeira, Malmö, Ponta Delgada, Ronneby, Rotterdam-The Hague, Rovaniemi, Stockholm Arlanda, and Toulon-Hyères airports have reached Level 5 so far).

Swedavia further solidified its position as one of the global pioneers in aviation’s decarbonisation with Stockholm Arlanda Airport and Ronneby Airport achieving Level 5, the highest level in the Airport Carbon Accreditation programme. As a result, four of Swedavia’s ten airports now hold the highest level of climate certification – following Göteborg Landvetter Airport and Malmö Airport which reached Level 5 in December 2023. Swedavia’s remaining six airports are on track to attain the top certification level by 2026, as part of its strategic commitment to achieve decarbonisation across all scopes by 2050.
