British Airways suspends flights to Israel
Temporary solution from today to Thursday for the escalation of tensions with Hezbollah
"We have been continuously monitoring the situation in the Middle East and have taken the operational decision to cancel our flights to and from Tel Aviv up to and including Thursday 26 September": with this brief note British Airways announces the suspension of links by airplanes with Israel. The cause, obviously, is the escalation of the conflict in Lebanon, which has been added to the one that has been going on for almost a year in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. Only a few hours ago the Israeli Army declared that since yesterday morning during the air strikes against Hezbollah targets in the Land of the Cedars, around 400 medium-range rocket launchers, 70 weapons depots and about 80 drones and cruise missiles have been hit. Over 1,500 targets have been hit in around 200 different areas of Lebanese territory. "More than 250 fighter aircraft" have taken part in the attacks.
