Solved technical IT problem encountered today at dawn
The "Ugo Niutta" international airport of Naples-Capodichino is back fully operational. In fact, at dawn today, a technical problem with the IT system caused widespread slowdowns in the embarkation and disembarkation operations of numerous air connections. At the moment some departing and arriving flights are experiencing some delays.
"The planned backup plans were immediately activated aimed at guaranteeing the gradual return to normal operations which were restored as early as 8 am", reports the local newspaper "Il Mattino", which cites a note published by the Capodichino airport management company (Gesac ), which controls the Campania airport.
According to an initial reconstruction of the inconvenience, the technical fault in the IT network occurred around 6:00 am and was resolved around 7:45 am today, Thursday 25 July 2024. The problem caused a slowdown in airport procedures in the time slot ranging from 6:00 to 8:00, with departing flights delayed by up to two hours.
