MBDA announces new missile effector
It will be marketed in different variants to meet customer needs
The European consortium MBDA, specialized in the production of missiles and components, has announced that the new effector (on-board technological system) of anti-drone weapons, recently tested, will be marketed in different variants. The company's goal is to offer customers as many options as possible, allowing the solution to be adapted to the preferences of those who purchase it.
The new effector, which will be implemented on the "Sky Warden" system, allows you to better counter RF-guided drones with a directional fragmentation warhead. This component is the result of years of research and development that aim to develop an interconnected ecosystem of continuously evolving sensors and actuators.
"Sky Warden" manages the entire C-Uas (Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems) kill chain, from detection to neutralization of unmanned aerial systems. In particular, the system is designed to integrate and control a wide range of sensors and effects. The objective is to make the abatement of various forms of threat more efficient, from tactical drones to mini-reconnaissance drones, without forgetting the more traditional ones.
