Brussels has authorized the sale of 41% of the Italian airline ITA Airways to Lufthansa. It is considered the merger of the year. A new global aviation giant is born. For the privatization of the Italian carrier, the Germans have put 325 million Euros in capital increase on the table and have given up some advantages to complete the operation.

On this matter, AVIONEWS interviewed Ivan Viglietti, Italian secretary of Uiltrasporti.
