Iran attack on Israel (2). Meloni in conversation with Tajani, Crosetto and Mantovano
Evaluation of all possible scenarios
According to what was communicated by official sources at Palazzo Chigi, immediately after receiving news of the developments following the UAV attack on Israel by Iran, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni had a series of telephone exchanges with key figures in her Government: she spoke with Antonio Tajani, deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs, with Guido Crosetto, head of Defence, and with Alfredo Mantovano, undersecretary to the Prime Minister with specific responsibilities for the Security Services.
This direct involvement of the Italian leader underlines the seriousness with which Italy is observing the situation, reflecting the importance assigned to stability in the region and the possible repercussions of this attack on the international framework. Italy's response, as emerges from the such talks, aims at an in-depth analysis and evaluation of all the possible scenarios that could arise from this moment of crisis, thus highlighting Italy's commitment to "supporting peace and global security".
