Israel: ongoing raids from Lebanon
Peace negotiations in Qatar begin are restarted
Clashes between Israelis and the pro-Palestinian Lebanese group Hezbollah are becoming increasingly intense. In fact, Beirut has become an increasingly central player on the Middle Eastern chessboard. Rockets are launched daily against northern Israel, while Tel Aviv attacks launch sites and other military facilities located in southern Lebanon. Pressure from the United States and part of the Islamic world to negotiate peace continues.
"In the eastern part of southern Lebanon, members of the Islamic resistance targeted a group of Israeli troops outside the town of Wazzani with appropriate weapons, and also struck facilities in Metulla, Marjah and Samak, directly targeting spy equipment at the training facility in Al-Asi", reads a statement published by the Hezbollah group.
After the decision of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Tel Aviv soldiers continue military operations towards Rafah, on the border with Egypt, with the aim of completely neutralizing Hamas. In recent hours, however, Israel has given the green light to send a delegation to Qatar to resume peace talks with Hamas and reach a truce in exchange for the release of the hostages.
