Turkish Airlines bets on Italy
Announced increase in flight frequencies to and from four airports on the Peninsula
The management of the flag carrier Turkish Airlines is betting on Italy. The company has in fact announced a significant increase in flight frequencies to and from four airports: the "Karol Wojtyla" of Bari-Palese, the "Guglielmo Marconi" of Bologna-Panigale, the "Falcone-Borsellino" of Palermo-Punta Raisi, "Ugo Niutta" of Naples-Capodichino.
"We expand our flight operations in Italy, offering passengers more travel options and an even more convenient and comfortable experience. We are confident that this increase in frequencies will help meet the growing demand for air travel and further strengthen ties between Turkey and Italy", said Board Chairman Ahmet Bolat.
The increase in flights between Turkey and Italy will begin from March 31, 2024. Overall, the Turkish Airlines company will operate 136 annual flights for a total of eight destinations on the Peninsula. The collaboration between the Turkish airline and the national carrier ITA Airways will also be improved.
