Emirates orders 200 drone helicopters
It is the largest order in the country's history for the purchase of VTOL
The Ministry of Defense of the United Arab Emirates has placed the largest order in its history for the purchase of drone-helicopters: these are 200 VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft, of the HT- 100 and HT-750, produced by the Swiss company Anavia, controlled by the Emirates Edge Group, specialized in the advanced technology and defense sectors.
This order "exemplifies Edge's strategy. It allows us to expand the reach of our technological capabilities across multiple domains, while ensuring sustainable growth for both partners, playing our role in developing sovereign capabilities in the air, land and and naval", is the comment of Khaled Al Zaabi, president Platform & Systems of Edge Group.
The HT-100 and the larger HT-750 aircraft are compact, high-performance multi-role drone-helicopters specifically designed to be used in ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance) missions, as well as carrying out logistics services and transporting heavy payloads.
