Four-hour strike in some Italian airports
Mobilization 1pm-5pm today Wednesday 24 January 2024
Starting today, Wednesday 24 January 2024, a four-hour strike by the air traffic controllers of the Italian Society for Flight Assistance (Enav), who will cross their arms from 1:00 pm to 5.00 pm. The mobilization involves only some Italian airports. In the indicated time slot there may be delays and cancelled flights. Passengers are advised to monitor their flight before going to the airport.
The airports affected by the mobilization are the following: the "Valerio Catullo" airport of Verona-Villafranca, the "Guglielmo Marconi" of Bologna-Panigale, and the Brindisi-Casale airport. The protest was called by the unions Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl, Uiltrasporti, Ugl Air Transport, the Italian Flight Control and Assistance Union (Unica), which protect workers in the air transport sector for Enav flight controllers.
