Russia: three airports in Moscow closed
Authorities justify the measure due to attacks by enemy drones
The international airports of Moscow-Domodedovo and Moscow-Vnukovo today introduced temporary restrictions on arrivals and departures from the Russian airport. At the moment there is no official confirmation on the causes, but the Russian Ministry of Defense, led by General Sergej Šojgu, announced that some Ukrainian military drones had been shot down this morning while flying over the airspace above the capital.
This was reported by the Russian press agency "Ria Novosti", news relaunched by various international newspapers. Russian media "Interfax" reported that Moscow-Zhukovsky Airport also suspended takeoffs and landings today. The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, confirmed that Russian air defenses shot down an enemy drone near the capital Moscow today, but that the attacks caused no casualties.
