The first scheduled flight operated by the new carrier Humo Air starts tomorrow, Friday 15 December. The Uzbekistan-based company has already started selling tickets for daily flights that will connect the "Islom Karimov" international airport hub in Tashkent with the national airports of Samarkand, Nukus, Urgench and Karshi. In 2024 the first international flights to Almaty (Kazakhstan), Istanbul (Turkey) and Dubai (Saudi Arabia).

The airline is controlled by the Swiss private equity firm ValleyRoad Capital Humo, which purchased it in 2022. It currently has the air operator certificate (AOC) issued by the Uzbek Civil Aviation Agency, but not the one to operate commercial flights.

The operations will be carried out on board A-320 aircraft. The management plans to have a fleet made up exclusively of Airbus aircraft: starting with four aircraft, then the industrial plan envisages an expansion of the fleet to 18 units by 2025. The objective is to carve out an important market share among the largest competing domestic airlines, including Centrum Air and Uzbekistan Airways Express.
