Flights cancelled or postponed to a later date at Munich Airport due to heavy snowfall and freezing rain. Around 150 takeoffs and 160 landings scheduled for today's morning alone were cancelled, out of a total of over 770 flights between departures and arrivals. All flight and ground operations suspended. From midday, in case of improvement in weather conditions, operations could resume.

"The operational areas will be de-iced in the first half of the day. The plan is to allow air traffic to resume from midday. However, it can be assumed that the majority of flights will also have to be canceled in the rest of the day for safety reasons", said German airport.
