The documents of the negotiation for the privatization of the national carrier ITA Airways, signed by the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the Lufthansa aviation Group, will be sent to Brussels by mid-November. The latter, according to the German management, could give the green light to the purchase of 41% of the Italian airline within the next 2-3 months.

"The dialogue with the European Commission continues and we are confident that it can be concluded at the beginning of 2024", was the comment of the CEO of Lufthansa, Carsten Spohr, who spoke today on the sidelines of the conference call for the presentation of the latest economic results of the German company.
