Spain: hacker attack on airline
Air Europa has suffered a payment system breach
The Spanish airline Air Europa has suffered a cyber attack on its on-line payment system in recent hours. The company said the breach allowed hackers to reveal the credit card details of some of its customers. The airline has notified those affected by the data theft and all financial institutions involved, with the aim of preventing any future fraud.
The carrier said there is currently "no evidence that the breach was ultimately used to commit fraud" against customers.
