Lufthansa Technik-Philippine Airlines pact on MRO
Renewed agreement between companies for engine maintenance services
The German company Lufthansa Technik, specialized in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) services for aircraft and its components, has signed an agreement with the national carrier Philippine Airlines, to carry out engine checks starting from 2024. In detail, these are eight CFM56-5B propellers supplied to A-320neo aircraft.
"We are delighted that Philippine Airlines has once again chosen us as their engine maintenance partner. We take this as an opportunity to further strengthen our long-standing partnership and are committed to delivering positive results for the airline", commented Dennis Kohr, vice-president Corporate Sales of the German company for the Asia-Pacific area.
The Manila-based airline, in addition to having renewed its engine partnership with the Philippine branch of Lufthansa Technik, also continues existing Total Component Support (TCS) agreements with the Germans for the B-777 aircraft fleet and Base Maintenance Services (BMS).
