After the heated discussion that yesterday led the United States Congress to suspend the planned shipment of armaments to Ukraine, worth 6.2 billion dollars, the leaders of the G7 countries will hold a videoconference meeting tomorrow to discuss how to deal with the situation in Ukraine. Meanwhile, the European Union is thinking of establishing a new 5 billion euro fund for Kiev.

Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, after meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, confirmed that Italy will continue to pay maximum attention to Ukraine. US President Joe Biden, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and other leaders of the G7 countries will hold an online meeting tomorrow to discuss possible economic sanctions against Russia and further aid to Kiev.

Meanwhile, the High Representative of the European Union's foreign policy, Josep Borrell, has proposed that Ukraine create a European Peace Fund with a multi-year budget of up to 5 billion euros: "I hope that an agreement can be reached before the end of the year", are the words of the European official.

For its part, the United States will "soon" announce a new military aid package for Ukraine. "If Putin thinks he can survive us, he is wrong", said White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre, responding to Russian President Vladimir Putin's claims regarding the alleged "fatigue" of the West, with which Washington is in contact to ensure the necessary assistance to Ukraine.
