Kim-Putin meeting in Russia
Russian ministers and members of the North Korean government committee were present at the talks
The bilateral meeting between President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un continues in Vostochny, a city located in the Far East of Russia. The face-to-face is underway at the cosmodrome. At the talks there were several Russian ministers (including the heads of the Foreign, Defense, Transport, Natural resources) as well as members of the North Korean governing party committee.
The agreements between the two countries "include sensitive areas including military cooperation", but the Russian president and the North Korean leader "will not sign documents" at the end of their meeting. "Russia maintains its position in the United Nations, in the Security Council, but this cannot, must not and will not constitute an obstacle to the further development of Russian-Korean relations", said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The North Korean leader said he was convinced that today's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will help "raise relations between the two countries to a new level".
