Brazil: new minister of ports and airports
He could take office next week after G20
Centrist lawmaker Silvio Costa Filho will assume command of the Brazilian ministry of ports and airports. His appointment came in the past few hours after the government reshuffle wanted by President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva. Together with him, new holders of other dicasteries have been indicated. These could take office next Wednesday, September 13, after Lula's return from the G20 in India.
The formalization puts an end to a cycle of discussions that lasted almost two months to accept the requests of the "Centrao", the set of center parties that support the government of the progressive leader and considered essential to guarantee more votes in favor of the bills presented by the government in the Congress Nacional do Brasil.
