Warsaw Airport introduces sleeping capsules

New services available to travelers to give customers more comfort - VIDEO

The Warsaw "Fryderyk Chopin" airport management company has made two new services available to travelers. The former is a technological device that allows passengers to proactively go through security checkpoints; the second concerns the installation of sleeping pods. These are innovative solutions that aim to improve the travel experience at the Polish airport.

"It will also be possible to send a parcel directly from the baggage check area of the airport. It is the first experience of its kind not only in Poland, but also in Europe. Often, out of distraction or ignorance, travelers go through security with a prohibited item in the baggage". Furthermore, the introduction of sleeping capsules "is another step forward in increasing travel comfort. We want to meet the expectations of passengers at our airport", explained stopover spokeswoman Anna Dermont .

One of the most interesting services is that of sleeping capsules at the airport. They are designed to guarantee rest during long stops between flights. This is a solution that is also aimed at those who, for various reasons, find themselves forced to stay overnight in the airport premises. A comfortable alternative to conventional hotel accommodation.

Below, the video. The images show one of the first capsule-bed installations in the world. The "Sleepods" seen in the footage are located at the Turkish Istanbul Airport, where entered service in 2020.
