Finnair seeks new CEO
Topi Manner will leave it next March
Finnish flag carrier Finnair announced today that its CEO, Topi Manner, will leave the air company effective March 1, 2024. The manager will assume the same position at Elisa Corporation, an Information Technology company (It) and Information and Communication Technology (Ict).
The airline has announced that it will now start the search for a new executive to take his place. This can be read in a statement that the company issued on Friday evening. Manner joined Finnair in early 2019, leading the company through multiple challenges: from the pandemic to the war between Russia and Ukraine which led to the closure of Siberian airspace, a strategic route for Finnair, part of whose business was focused on connections between the airports of Europe and those of Asia.
