Operations at Munich's "Franz Josef Strauss" airport recorded important numbers in the first half of 2023: aircraft movements were 141,504 (up by +9% compared to the same period of 2022), while passengers transited 16.6 million (over +28% on an annual basis), finally 132,404 tons of goods handled (+4.4%). 

"The passenger volume at Munich Airport thus amounted to around three-quarters of the record figure for 2019. The average load factor of aircraft seats at Munich Airport in the first half of the year has never been higher: the figure of almost 80% is a new record", explains an official press release from the airport operator. The performance of the Munich airport is demonstrated by flights to 200 destinations in 60 countries around the world.
