Operations at Amsterdam-Schiphol International Airport are back to normal. Today experts communicated an initial balance sheet of the passage of cyclone "Polly" today, the strongest ever recorded in the Netherlands during the summer months, with wind gusts of 145 kilometers per hour. The cities of Amsterdam, The Hague, Haarlem have been hit hard. Transport disruptions also on the Amsterdam-London Eurostar trains and on the high-speed trains to the railway stations of Cologne and Hamburg, where the service was suspended for hours and many national trains were cancelled.
