SpiceJet bets on Boeing
Leased B-737 Max aircraft to meet high travel demand
The management of Indian low-cost carrier SpiceJet will add 10 B-737 Max aircraft to its fleet. It is a decision that aims to satisfy the growing demand for travel by passengers and at the same time to solve the problem of some vehicles stranded. The entry into service of the new aircraft, leased, will take place between September and October 2023.
"The introduction of these aircraft, which coincides with India's peak travel season, will help us launch new routes and strengthen our presence on existing ones''. "There has been a significant increase in passenger demand and we hope this trend will continue into the latter part of the year", said Ajay Singh, president and chief executive officer of SpiceJet airline.
