Ukrainian conflict: discussions over aircraft to Kiev
NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, in favor of continuing talks
The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has announced that it is in favor of continuing talks between allied countries regarding the sending of Western fighter jets to Ukraine. The General Secretary of the Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, reiterated this in recent hours on the sidelines of a conference in Ramstein, Germany.
"Poland and Slovakia will deliver the Mig-29 fighters. There is a continuous discussion with allies and partners on the various types of jets. However, it is important not only to think about new types of aid, but also about how to support those already delivered", declared Stoltenberg yesterday, during a meeting Thursday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, who asked for more weapons for Kiev, including fighters and air defense systems.
