Belgrade Airport will open new terminal
Completion of all works expected in 2023
The management company of the Belgrade airport has announced the imminent opening of the central area of the new terminal. It is a space of over 11,000 square meters equipped with modern technologies capable of accelerating passenger boarding procedures and designed to offer travelers greater comfort.
The works involved the construction of the new check-in desks for security and document checks, now located on the ground floor in the central section of the terminal, equipped with signage and an information system. The works are part of the Belgrade airport expansion and modernization programme, in which the manager Vinci Airports has invested 732 million euros.
In addition to the works on the terminal, other important modernization works are proceeding: the creation of a new duty-free area of almost 3000 square meters, the large central square with commercial structures; upgrading of over 16,000 square meters of the existing terminal. The completion of all the works is expected during 2023. The project, according to the managers, will expand the reception capacity of the terminal to 15 million passengers a year.
