Airbus Helicopters grows in North America
Increasing demand for H-160 aircraft, first flight simulator on the way
European manufacturer Airbus Helicopters continues to see growing demand for H-160 aircraft in North America. More than 12 units have already been ordered by North American customers. Private companies and businessmen particularly like the rotary-wing aircraft, which in 2022 ordered four of them.
"The H-160 features the highest level of innovation and has been designed to offer our customers tremendous value in comfort, performance and safety, regardless of the mission they are carrying out. The addition of this aircraft model in North America provides pilots with easy access to a smooth transition between theory and practice", said Romain Trapp, president of Airbus Helicopters in the North America region.
To support this growth in demand, plans are underway to introduce the first Full Flight Simulator (FFS) for H-160 helicopters into service in North America and Latin America. This training tool will become essential for a growing number of customers in the area: it is expected to host around 400 pilots a year, with a potential of over 4000 hours of instruction per year.
