Aircraft-train. ITA and Fs together for intermodality
MoU for greater integration between air and train signed
ITA Airways has signed in the last days an important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ferrovie dello Stato Group to create increasingly effective multimodal services between airplane and train. The agreement has the aim of creating a joint offer for the purchase of integrated train-air tickets and define combined loyalty programmes.
The MoU between ITA Airways and the Ferrovie dello Stato Group also provides the basis for commercial and operational partnerships aiming at developing a multi-modal mobility offer, which can effectively meet tourism and business demand, creating an easy and convenient "end-to-end" travel experience, with the purpose of developing common digital platforms.
With this agreement, the Italian carrier once again demonstrates its commitment to pursuing a future oriented towards intermodality as a key element in ensuring connectivity between the Italian territories, which is particularly important for an airline operating with a hub and spoke model.
The MoU signed represents a further step in the modernisation process of Italian mobility and is fully in line with airline's core pillars: sustainability, innovation and customer centricity, courtesy of an increasingly dedicated offer.
