Rome, Italy - Flight operations may remain suspended until 7:00pm

Besides civil traffic also military flights would have been suspended because of the detachment of 10 square metres of runway’s tarmac (see for details AVIONEWS). AVIONEWS learned that the trouble would have been caused by an airplane in taking off provoking an hole of 10 square metres on tarmac. But unconfirmed sources stated that flights could be resumed not before the 7:00pm.
