Russia-Ukraine: Kiev formalizes economic aid
Martial law: Zelensky increases security and defense fund by 1.57 billion euros
Fifteen days after the start of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine, a rift has been created in Europe with Western countries providing armaments, humanitarian aid and economic support to Kiev, while Russia pursues its hard-fisted policy. Yesterday, the government in Kiev made official a number of governmental aids received from various States as well as ordinary people and companies operating around the world.
"The US House of Representatives has approved a $ 13.6 billion emergency aid package for Ukraine. These are funds that will be used to reinforce our army, to provide humanitarian aid and support for Ukrainians. We are grateful to our American friends for such powerful support", Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said last night.
Meanwhile, Kiev has increased the reserve fund by 1.57 billion euros to meet "the needs of the security and defense sector to be promptly met under martial law", the politician added.
"We are just as much grateful to our friends and partner countries all around the world for isolating the russian federation, we are grateful to the companies that left the Russian market as well. We are grateful to the leaders of the European Union for the next package of punitive sanctions against Moscow".
