Ukraine conflict: Russia occupies nuclear power plants
Boris Johnson: "They directly threaten the security of all of Europe"

The Russian Army advancing into Ukrainian territory is trying to take control of the country's strategic sites, including nuclear power plants. After having put the Chernobyl site under its domain, tonight Moscow's soldiers attacked the Zaporizhzhia nuclear site, taking control of it. This is the largest plant for the production of atomic energy in Europe.
At the moment, as reported by the news agency "Reuters", the staff working in the nuclear power plant is at work for the normal operation of the site. The entire area is garrisoned by Moscow's army. Meanwhile, authorities in Kiev let it known that the fire caused by the Russian attack has been extinguished and the plant has been made safe again, with radiation levels in the normal range.
Meanwhile, the Russian military offensive against Ukraine continues unabated, with bombings and several cities under siege. We are on the ninth day of the war. Moscow's conquest of nuclear power plants has put European political leaders on alert. Among them the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson who denounced the "irresponsible actions" of Putin that "directly threaten the security of all Europe".
