Ukraine, March 1st: two more airports hit
Also attacked three air defense radar posts, reports Moscow

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov told the press today that the national armed forces hit two airports and three air defense radar posts on the territory of Ukraine, with long-range and high-precision air and sea weapons. "The attacks excluded civilian infrastructures and residential buildings", he pointed out.
Also during these hours, however, a video message from the head of the Greek-Catholic Church Sviatoslav Shevchuk would deny what Konashenkov said: "In these last moments, especially this night, we have witnessed the new horrors of war. We have seen schools, kindergartens, cinemas, museums destroyed, and in the morning a rocket hit the maternity ward of a hospital. We wonder, but why?". According to the latest declarations of these hours, it seems that the patriarch is referring to the Pregnancy Assistance Center in Buzova, a village in the Kiev Oblast. The maternity facility was actually attacked yesterday according to what the head of the management company of the Center, Vitaliy Girin, reported on social media: "Mortar shots hit the maternity hospital; the damage is considerable, but the building is still standing", we read in the post accompanied by photos that we attach at the bottom of this AVIONEWS. Yesterday, in addition to this structure, the entire village was seriously affected, as well as the neighboring motorway section was destroyed, and a site that until a few days ago was considered the main airport for gliding in Ukraine, now among the nodal points of support for the defense of the country.
