Arquus military vehicles back on track
In 2022 it looks at the tender tender to replace 9000 French army vehicles
After the sufficient results recorded in 2021, the French company Arquus, specializing in the development and production of military vehicles and controlled by Renault Trucks, has set itself a new ambitious goal: to reach a billion Euros in sales by 2030. A goal that is currently unattainable unless the volume of orders increases, say some industry experts.
Orders for light armored vehicles in 2021 had fallen to 343 million Euros, almost all in France. However, fortunately, the company can count on a solid order backlog of 1.2 billion, which rises to 5 billion if the military vehicles optioned in the contract clauses are also taken into account.
The goal for 2022 is to secure new orders. The French Armed Forces Ministry's call for tenders for the renewal of army trucks is crucial: it involves selling and providing technical, logistical and refueling support for 9,400 military vehicles. This is what the Armoured Engagement Support Vehicle (Aev) project, which takes over from the Light Armoured Vehicles (LAV), provides. An unmissable bet.
