"Dubai Airshow": Russia will present new fighter aircraft

The event will be held from 14 to 18 November 2021

In view of the "Dubai Airshow 2021" (from November 14-18) Russia will showcase its military aviation jewels. The state-owned company Rostec, specialized in defense and technology sector, will exhibit the Sukhoi Su-75 "Checkmate", the fifth-generation single-engine fighter. This is a move with which Moscow wants to open the doors to potential foreign customers, especially some South American countries with which relations are closer.

The new single-engine fighter was presented at the international exhibition "Maks-2021" held in the city of Zhukovsky, near Moscow, last July. The date of the first flight is scheduled for 2023 and entry into service in 2026. It has stealth technology and it is equipped with slots for various types of weaponry: air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles. The new aircraft developed by Rostec is derived from the Su-57 fifth-generation combat airplane.
