Planes and carriers, easyJet accuses EU governments on restrictions
CEO Lundgren lashed out against travel policies
Thrust and lunge: Johan Lundgren is not a fencer, but in last few hours he launched an attack worthy of this sport against European Union. CEO of low-cost airline easyJet took part in an on-line event together with other CEOs of the sector, delving into the current transport situation. According to Lundgren, governments of this continent should focus more on new air travel policies that are in line with the historical moment we are all facing. CEO of the British company would prefer that the executives deal with the fight undertaken by this sector against Covid-19 and not just the protection of national airlines.
As if these statements were not enough, manager added a very specific accusation; in practice, according to his point of view, collapse of air traffic was favored by the "enormous confusion" created on restrictions and quarantines. This event was organized by A4E (Airlines for Europe). On the same wavelength as easyJet is British Airways which yesterday asked the London government for greater efforts on health tests.
