THE GENERAL ECONOMIC SLOWDOWN IS AFFECTING ALSO THE EUROPEAN PASSENGER TRAFFIC
BRUSSELLS, BELGIUM, The 29-member Association of European Airlines, AEA, communicated that the passenger traffic in March rose 1% instead of the average growth rates of around 6-8%, regarding the same period of last year. The Association declared that "this is a sign that the general economic slowdown is affecting the airline industry which is very sensitive to economic changes".
