Coronavirus (2): measures taken by other Countries
Stop aircraft links and quarantine
How are the coronavirus emergency facing other Countries?
China has imposed total isolation of entire provinces and cities with millions of inhabitants.
Europe has suspended air connections from the epicenter of the epidemic, the city of Wuhan to the airports of Rome-Fiumicino, Paris and London.
Ban on entry of the United States by those coming from risk areas, tight controls at airports.
South Korea is the country with the highest number of cases outside China and local authorities have raised the level of health alert to the highest degree, the "red" one, which allows the blocking of arrivals from land that can be considered a threat, the suspension of transport and the isolation of entire cities. Seoul has not currently blocked flights with China, but requires travellers from that country to keep in constant contact with the health authorities in the 14 days following entry, the incubation period for the disease.
In Japan, the population was advised to stay home in the presence of flu symptoms and some public events have been cancelled.
In Britain, a two-week quarantine for those returning from China is foreseen, while the measure has not been adopted at the moment by other European Nations such as France, Germany and Spain, which have not even blocked aircraft links with China, as instead made from Italy.
